The Stress Buster!
This
begins with you seated and just your shoulders and head exposed. You
will enjoy the benefits of the Indian Head Massage in two thirds of the
time. Tension is reduced from the shoulders and neck, increasing mobility
of the upper body whilst reducing aches and pains. As the massage
continues the journey to your head, your scalp will be massaged both
gently and moderately. This increases blood supply to the area, including
muscles, nerve endings, and the brain. This is a deeply relaxing stage of
the massage which if received can be quite a meditative
experience. Following the scalp massage, you will receive a facial
massage. The benefits of a face massage include relaxation, nourishment of
the skin (anti-aging), reduces sinus tension and may reduce sinus
inflammation. During the Indian Head Massage, the nardis points,or energy junctions are opened, allowing for a smooth flow of energy. This
is your life-force energy which raises your vibration and lust for
life. Though you may just feel like a nap immediately after the
treatment!
Fortunately, you
will then lie down on a plinth and enjoy a further 25 minutes of
Reflexology. Reflexology works by encouraging your body to it's natural
balance. By applying pressure to reflex points on the feet, which
correspond to the whole body (limbs, internal organs, skin etc).
Included in the body are adrenal glands, which produces the hormone
Cortisol. This helps us achieve deadlines and run from wild
animals! Unfortunately, modern life often does not allow us to rid
ourselves of this stress hormone and it has an adverse effect on the
body. Symptoms such as insomnia, racing thoughts, mood swings, anxiety can
be most unpleasant.
